RENDER ME HUMAN — 3D WORLDBUILDING
This work explores the transformation of real people into a synthetic environment, created through advanced photogrammetry and digital scene construction. Starting with high-resolution 3D scans captured in a multi-camera setup, the process involved cleaning geometry in Blender, refining photorealistic textures in Substance Painter and constructing the environment entirely in Cinema4D and Unreal Engine. Lighting and atmosphere were carefully designed to evoke a sense of digital transcendence, with rendering in Redshift and final retouching in Lightroom and Photoshop.
This post-photographic study reflects on identity and humanity within simulated spaces. By combining authentic human scans with constructed worlds, it creates a tension between physical presence and virtual reality, framed through the perspective of a photographic image in motion.
