"Short Stories of our Future: First Aid"
"Short Stories of our Future" is a collection of large-format prints and video loops that depict dystopian future scenarios. "Short Stories of our Future" critically reflects on the potential consequences of climate disasters and societal failures, which could span periods of 50, 100, or even 500 years. Each piece within the series is not just an artistic representation but also a compelling appeal to consider the long-term impacts of our current decisions.
In this ongoing sequence, photogrammetric 3D works are presented as large-scale stagings that draw viewers into a world beyond the present. This immersive experience invites viewers to deeply engage with possible futures and reflect on their own role in shaping these futures. The use of photogrammetric 3D scans allows for a realistic depiction of these scenarios with photographic textures.
A central work of "Short Stories of our Future" is "First Aid." This video work explores how people in a potentially dystopian future search for meaning and purpose. By combining post-photographic processes and narrative depth, the work creates a connection between today's reality and speculative future visions.
